AITAH For Switching Seats On A Plane To Sit Behind An Attractive Woman?

I just got home from a family vacation in Mexico, and something happened on the flight back that my wife says I handled badly.

My daughter was sitting in the window seat watching one of the Trolls movies and quietly minding her own business.

The woman sitting directly in front of her had very long hair. At one point she flipped it over the back of her seat, and it ended up hanging right in front of my daughter’s screen.

My daughter politely asked if she could move her hair because she couldn’t see her movie.

The woman ignored her.

So we pressed the call button, and a flight attendant came over. After the attendant spoke to her, she moved her hair.

For about 15 minutes.

Then she flipped it right back over the seat again.

At that point I decided to handle it differently.

When my daughter got up to use the bathroom, I switched seats with her.

When she came back, I told her to take my seat instead.

She asked why I’d moved, and loud enough for the woman in front of me to hear, I said, “I really liked her hair and wanted a closer look at it.”

The woman heard every word.

She immediately pulled all of her hair back over her own seat, tucked it inside her hoodie, and didn’t let it hang over again for the rest of the flight.

My daughter didn’t even notice what happened.

She happily finished her movie, and I ended up taking a nap.

My wife says I should’ve just switched seats without making that comment because it probably made the woman uncomfortable.

I think if she felt uncomfortable for a few seconds, maybe she finally understood how rude she’d been after ignoring both my daughter and the flight attendant.
