AITA for leaving our honeymoon resort after I found out why every couple checks out before sunrise?

I (26F) got married to my husband (30M) two weeks ago.

We chose a quiet honeymoon spot. Not crowded. Peaceful.

That’s how we ended up at this resort—hidden in the hills. Beautiful… but strangely empty.

When we arrived, I noticed something off. Only 2–3 couples. That’s it.

I joked we had the whole place to ourselves.

The receptionist smiled… but it didn’t reach her eyes.

She said, “Most guests don’t stay long.”

I laughed it off.

Our room was perfect—big windows, soft lighting, balcony view. It felt like a dream.

Until the first night.

Around 1:30AM, I woke up. No reason. Just… awake.

The balcony door was open. I know I locked it.

I got up to close it.

And that’s when I saw her.

A girl. Standing at the edge of the balcony. Back facing me. Hair covering her face. Wearing white.

I froze.

I whispered, “Hello?”

She didn’t move.

Then slowly… she tilted her head and said, “Why did you come here?”

My heart was racing. I blinked—she was gone.

I woke my husband. He checked. Nothing.

Next morning, I asked the staff. Described her.

They went quiet.

Finally, one said, “Maybe you saw someone from before.”

I asked what that meant.

He hesitated. Then said a girl once stayed in our room… alone.

One night, she never left.

They found her on that same balcony.

I felt sick.

That night, I didn’t sleep.

At exactly 1:30AM… the balcony door opened again. On its own.

I heard footsteps. Slow. Soft. Getting closer.

Then I felt it—someone sitting on the edge of the bed.

Right next to me.

I couldn’t move.

Then a whisper in my ear: “Leave… before he sees you too.”

I turned to wake my husband.

He wasn’t there.

The bathroom light was on. Door open.

Inside, he was standing in front of the mirror. Smiling.

Not at himself.

At something behind him.

Something I couldn’t see.

We checked out the next morning.

But as we were leaving, I looked back at the balcony.

She was there again.

This time… not alone.

So AITA for wanting to cancel the rest of our honeymoon and never talk about this again?

Or am I letting my imagination ruin everything?
