Dark green leafy vegetables are high in folic acid, a vitamin responsible for lowering homocysteine levels in the blood. High homocysteine levels contribute to low mood and depression so a daily Go Green Juice is always part of my prescription.
5 kale leaves
Handful of spinach
1 small cucumber
1 kiwi fruit
1 small green apple
Small knob of ginger
- Wash all ingredients, cut into small pieces and juice. (I like using Hurom cold pressed juicers).
- Transfer to glass and consume straight away or store in glass jar in fridge.
