Post Workout Acai Bowl

SERVES 1

Acai is a purple berry found in the Amazon, densely packed with phytonutrients and antioxidants. 

Ingredients

ACAI BLEND 

1 sachet frozen acai
1 cup mixed frozen berries
1 scoop of protein powder
1 tbsp coconut oil
½ cup milk of your choice

TOPPINGS

¼ cup strawberries, sliced
¼ cup goji berries
¼ cup shredded coconut
2 tbsp chia seeds
2 tbsp bee pollen
Drizzle of maple syrup or raw honey (optional)

Method 

  1. Remove frozen acai pack from freezer and defrost whilst you prepare all other ingredients. Once softened a little, break frozen pack into chunks and add to blender. Add frozen berries, protein powder, coconut oil and half the milk. Blend until all ingredients are combined and thick (you may need to ‘pulse’ the blender). Add remaining milk and blend until smooth and creamy.
  2. Transfer to bowl and decorate with toppings.
