In herbal medicine, oats are considered a nervine tonic. They can be stimulating or relaxing nervines but are always restorative ad nurturing.
½ cup oats
1 cup filtered water
½ apply, peeled and grated
¼ cup walnuts, chopped
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ cup milk of your choice (optional)
Raw honey to taste (optional)
- Add oats, water, apple ad nuts to a small saucepan and simmer on low for 3-5 minutes, or until oats are smooth and creamy.
- Transfer to bowl, add honey, sprinkle with cinnamon and add milk for a creamier porridge.
